“Doug Poynter knows about dogs. He is patient and caring with people and pets alike. The insights he provided about canine behavior really helped us build a wonderful relationship with our adopted rescue dogs. Despite having had dogs in the past, we discovered that there was still much for us to learn about the way dogs read, and react to, our subtle signals. Knowing what motivates dogs, it becomes possible to change unacceptable behavior without being mean or angry. We become better people as a result . Every day our lives are enriched by the companionship of our dogs. Thanks Doug!”

Doug has been instrumental in helping us form a healthy relationship between our two dogs and cat. By following his easy guidelines, we’ve been able to learn how to all get along. We have Doug to thank for the harmony in our household.

Thanks so much for your help with Muddy. We have been dealing with his severe separation anxiety for the past 9 months and feel that we’ve tried everything. He’s been on every medication the vet could think of (Clomicalm, Xanax, Eladil). He’s been evaluated by other professional canine consultants who recommended we let them take him to a $400 week-long behaviorial “bootcamp.” The success from that was short-lived and it felt more like sending him off to a very expensive vacation…We followed your training and saw an improvement in his anxiety in just 3 days…2 weeks ago, we left Muddy home alone for about an hour but videotaped him to see his reaction. He laid down and never once whined. And last week, we went out for the first time in almost 2 months and enjoyed a nice, stress-free dinner with our friends. When we came home and watched the tape, he showed no signs of anxiety and just slept the whole time we were gone. In fact, when we came home, he didn’t get up or act anxious to be let out like he usually does. I only wish we had found you sooner as this would have saved us a lot of time, grief, and money. Thanks again for everything!
Sincerely,
Sonia, Ray, and Muddy
The only words to describe Doug is an answer to a prayer, a miracle even. My 3yr old Siberian Husky had been “labeled” by a former trainer as “needing to be put down, because she, quote, had a screw loose and could not be saved”. I knew we had problems with her but would not accept the fact that I had to put her down. She is 95% a great dog, and after being referred to Doug and his training methods, he gave back to me the hope that my dog could be saved… Dougs approach is so EASY that its almost scary. You not only will learn all you need to have a happy and healthy relationship with your dog but you will also learn many things about yourself as a dog owner that will surprise you. The experience we have had with Doug have been nothing but POSITIVE and the outcome has been nothing but SUCCESS and I will recommend this man and his training to anyone! We feel truly blessed to have found Doug and his training, Thank you!
